Managing the Recoveries team to ensure that the desired targets are achieved and maintained, and relevant legal processes are finalised within the prescribed time limits. To proactively contribute to the profitability of the company by effectively managing the consultants so as to minimise losses and costs and maximise cash flow and best market related offers for Properties in Possession and Sell Assist. Ensuring company adherence and compliance to relevant legislation including company and shareholders policies and processes. Middle management role reporting to the Senior Manager, Debt Review & Recoveries. Ensure that the collection targets and goals in terms of the Recoveries Team are achieved and maintained Manage and lead a team of consultants Monitor individual performance targets against measurable Key Performance Factors implemented Supervise the individuals closely for non - performance. Motivate team Sign off all client arrangements in line with mandates set by the company Adherence to internal processes and accuracy Ensure policies and processes are constantly updated Effectively manage the Properties in Possession portfolio Ensure that offers are market related and that the properties are sold in less than 250 days from the date of buy in Effectively manage the Recoverable Bad Debt portfolio: Focus on increasing cash flow and minimising legal fees Effectively manage the Bad Debt portfolio: Ensure that all steps in the recovery process have been adhered to Effectively manage Sell Assist, Marketing and Private offers with shortfalls or losses: Ensure valuations are updated and correct. Check loss calculations & motivations are correct Effectively manage the Quick Cash portfolio: Adopt a stringent approach with regards to the recovery process To proceed with legal action immediately, if client does not settle the arrears or defaults on an arrangement Once Judgment is obtained and there is no prospect of cashflow, the balance should be written off to bad debt and review hand over to outsourced collection company (if applicable) Effectively manage the recovery of Personal Loan arrear accounts Coach staff to achieve 100% technical and non-technical competencies as required by the job Supervise staff for optimum results and productivity Communicate effectively and provide regular feedback on performance and behaviour to management Legal degree or BCom degree Matric, 1-year Paralegal Diploma (minimum) More than 2 years supervisory experience in conveyancing and debt recovery sector in the home loan industry (preferred) 2 years of supervisory experience in the conveyancing and debt recovery sector or banking experience (minimum) Conveyancing and Debt Recovery knowledge MS Office Strong written & verbal communication skills Good negotiation skills, client service Good knowledge of the Excalibur system People management skills Market related Apply Now
