We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior Renewables Engineer based in Johannesburg, Gauteng Industry: Renewable Energy (Solar PV and Wind) Level: Junior/Mid Key Requirements: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master's in Renewable Energy/Smart Grids/Power Systems preferable. 0-2 years' experience in Solar PV technology; experience in Wind Technology considered advantageous. Knowledge of solar PV and wind turbine technologies, including emerging technologies in the renewable energy market. Experience in technical advisory for investors, project developers, and banks is beneficial. Familiarity with solar PV applications and plant lifecycle delivery (feasibility, development engineering, construction monitoring, commissioning, and operations). ECSA registration as a Candidate Engineer, with a commitment to obtaining Pr Eng registration within 3-5 years. Willingness to travel up to 50%, including within Africa and potentially internationally. Personal Attributes: Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering disciplines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in technical report writing. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently to meet project deadlines. Project management skills, capable of coordinating and managing project activities. Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
