Our reputable FMCG Retail client is seeking a Sales Consultant/Assistant to join their team in Johannesburg. Purpose of the Position Learning how to provide excellent customer service to clients, and perform all activities associated with selling, stocking, and ordering merchandise. The incumbent is target-driven in order to reach maximum sales. Salary : R 6500.00 CTC Sales commission: Store target and personal target UPI (units per transaction) Conversion rate Compliance with policies and procedure Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service (ferrari experience) Visual appeal / merchandising of store Requirements : Matric Basic knowledge of arithmetic Computer literate 1-2 years experience within the retail industry 1-2 years experience within the clothing sector of retail Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas High level of organisation Good team-working skills Target driven Self-motivated Adaptability Stress management Responsibilities : Shop/Store Maintenance: Participate in the day-to-day running of the store Ensure the store and displays are clean and tidy at all times Assist in receiving deliveries, unpacking, and re-shelving or storing stock on the manager's instruction Replenishing shelves Assist with regular stock checks and stock takes Assist in changing displays of shop stock Being vigilant at all times and help minimize stock loss Sales/Transactions: Assist in operating the till and accurately handling cash/ card transactions under the Manager's supervision or instruction Assist with cashing up procedures Maeeting sales targets on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis Customer Service: Assisting customers with locating merchandise, offering advice, answering queries or concerns Keeping up-to-date with product knowledge Informing the public of any sales or new stock Constantly update customer base General: Refer any issue regarding customer care to the store Manager Housekeeping Adhere to health and safety practices/codes Adhere to company policies and procedures Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time Management reserves the right to amend or alter this job description and specific tasks related to the employee, within the generally agreed appointment from time to time and give any lawful and reasonable instruction, according to the growing needs of the Company.
