Sales Executive - Johannesburg
Requirements:
Matric qualification essential
, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous (Sales / Marketing / Civil Engineering).
Minimum of
3 - 5 years of sales experience
in the construction materials industry, preferably in ready-mix concrete (non-negotiable).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
Ability to understand and convey technical information.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
and
CRM software
.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Valid drivers license
and
willingness to travel
within the assigned territory.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
1. Sales and Business Development:
Identify and target potential customers in the construction industry.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and developers.
Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities.
Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients.
Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitable margins.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and address any issues.
Provide technical support and product information to customers.
Follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity and marketing campaigns.
3. Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:
Stay informed about the properties and benefits of ready-mix concrete products.
Understand and communicate the technical specifications and applications of various concrete mixes.
Assist customers in selecting the appropriate product for their needs.
4. Coordination and Logistics:
Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Monitor and track orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
Resolve any issues related to product delivery and quality.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details.
Regularly update CRM system.
Track and analyze sales performance against targets and objectives.
