Ensuring that all safety standards and requirements are complied with. Specifically focuses on expanding and maintaining customer base Key Responsibilities Ensures that the Sales Team generates sales revenue in excess of the budget Supports and builds up a motivated team to become customer focused Interacts directly at management level with loyal and key customers. Also involved in assisting with problematic customers Spends a high proportion of time with sales staff in the field in a coaching role Ensures high level of communication with staff through one-on-one weekly meetings with Reps, weekly sales meetings, and briefing sessions Reviews all supply contracts annually Maintain up to date register with contracts and sales plans with timelines and critical milestones (such as contract expiring and price reviews) for the area/region Responds to changes in cost prices and applies to indices to motivate price adjustments Engages regularly with Buyers and Supply Managers to negotiate price adjustments Maintains up to date market information that includes overall size and segmentation of each product category. This includes a filing system of competitor profiles Annual customer satisfaction surveys are conducted, analyzed and recommends corrective actions to RM Controls calling activities and expenses of Sales Reps Provides on the job training to staff Required to get to 95% on time delivery performance Safety Health and Environment Reporting and Communication Perform any ad hoc duties when requested to Legislation Understanding and compliance with OSH Act - Section 16 Compliance with Competition Law Labour Law Laws governing property leases Corporate Law Contract Law (Supply and Sales) Qualifications Diploma in Business Management or Marketing Valid driver's license Experience Direct sales of lifting, rigging and hoisting products Building customer relationships Dealing with complaints and resolving problems Motivating of staff Successful sales track record – winning back customers Experience in Business Management Involved in implementation of strategic tactics Experience in Public Speaking and Presentations Knowledge Motivation principles Marketing principles Steel Wire Rope, chain and Lifting Industry Safety Legislation Product design and application know how SAP system Skills (key technical skills required) Numeracy and accuracy Organizational skills Leadership Effective sales Negotiation skills when dealing with customers Analytical ability Communication skills both written and oral Presentation skills Apply Now
