Long established Engineering Manufacturer based in Montague Gardens Cape Town with an interesting and productive opportunity for a well rounded Sales Manager to manage an already established Sales Team. The Engineering Manufacturer collaborates with equipment builders throughout South Africa, by providing value-engineered components. The Sales Manager will be managing a Sales Team of 3 external experienced Sales Reps Each Sales Rep requires some one on one attention per week Supporting the Sales Reps (meeting customers, visiting customers with the Sales Reps, assisting with quoting, following up on quotes, encouraging Sales Reps) every week or as required The Sales Manager will be positioning the Manufacturer in repeat-ordering B2B customers who build equipment Work on a Project to improve the Company's Lead Generation and Lead Conversion processes to enable further growth. Policies are then reviewed / improved annually Weekly attention essential to the important House Accounts Sales Manager will report to the MD Grade 12 plus Sales / Project Certificate advantageous Minimum of 7 years proven Sales management experience where Sales Manager has managed a sales team (external sales staff) Sales management experience must be in Sales of Technical Goods (retail, services, B2C definitely not suitable) Previous experience in managing and assisting external Sales Reps every week Driver's Licence and own reliable motorcar essential Good command of English and Afrikaans a necessity Computer literate (Excel, Accounting or Project Software experience) essential TCOE R25 000 - R30 000 pm depending on experience, and Pension Fund. Commission is after 6 months
