Sales Representative/ Accounts Manager (Food Industry) - Midrand

Minimum requirements:
  • Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • A degree in commerce, food technology or science is required
  • Must have at least 2 years' relevant experience in sales and must have a proven sales track record
  • Strong general knowledge of the food flavours or food chemicals market would be an advantage
  • Own transport and valid drivers license
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales of food flavours and colours to the required client base
  • Responsible for generating new business and sales
  • Understanding the work flow, pressure and daily operations of business and manage customer expectations
  • Face to face customer meetings
  • Cold calling and reaching weekly and monthly targets
  • Sales presentations to management
  • Target driven and reaching monthly target
  • Initiating customer contact through personal contact
  • Customer research (business, opportunities, needs)
  • Presentation of product offerings and systematic follow-up
  • Effective and efficient closure of sales
  • Must drive the process from receiving the order from the customer to delivery to the customer- ownership of the process
  • Working with customer base to ensure good relationships are maintained
  • General admin and weekly reporting
  • Strategy presentation to management
  • Maintain excellent customer service level
