A vacancy has arisen for a Sales Representative, in Longmeadow, Modderfontein. The person will be responsible for the sales process, with the aim to increase the company's market share and meet sales targets. Contacting and meeting existing and potential clients to discuss their needs and see how best we can provide a service / product that meets their needs and demands. Develop strategy for product introductions. Liase with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives. Develop sales presentations and proposals. Provide feedback and support to internal and external stakeholders. Build an ethical and professional brand image in the market place Investigate lost sales and customer accounts. Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue. Generate timely sales reports and client visits. Assist in budget preparation. Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis. Analyse data to identify sales opportunities. Propose promotional ideas and materials. Cultivate effective business relationships. Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how these can be met by specific product. Answer customer queries relating to products, prices, availability, product uses and credit terms. Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements. Maintain customer records using automated systems. Follow up on all laboratory tests requested. Identify prospective customers. Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit for processing. Assist with deliveries as and when required. Assist with the collection of debts. Participate in stock takes. Ability to calculate, understand and communicate costings, margins, etc. Maintain and grow portfolio at existing customers. Identify develop and concert new sales leads. Ensure Sales target is met. Minimum requirements: Completed Grade 12 Computer literate (especially Excel) External sales experience may be advantageous Experience in Key account management and the coatings or chemical industry may be advantageous. Experienced in selling in an industrial/manufacturing environment may be advantageous.
