JOB DESCRIPTION Key Responsibilities Besides coding and developing SAP modules with the help of the ABAP/4 programming language, the SAP programmer performs several other tasks, some of which are given below: Understanding the needs and requirements of the business by coordinating with their representatives and seeking clarity on every minute detail to provide the best possible solutions Writing the code using ABAP programming language based on the blueprint provided by and performing regular tests on the usability of the code Reviews and revises technical designs to meet ABAP project requirements. Recommend process improvements to achieve project goals. Provide technical and functional guidance to other staffs. Provide high quality customer support throughout the project. Conduct defect analysis and perform necessary fixes and enhancements. Collaborate with functional owners, architects, and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems to meet the emerging demands of the market. Assist in unit testing of ABAP programs. Review program codes and correct ABAP program errors. Maintain and update existing program codes as needed. Develop technical specification and estimations for assigned project. Work in compliance with the programming and documentation standards. Ensure projects completion within the allotted timelines and budget. Troubleshoot production problems in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest technological advancement and changes in the world of SAP development and adapting to these changes by self-training and research work. Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering 3 - 5 years of prior experience in the field of ABAP programming In depth knowledge of SAP functional modules and other SAP systems/products Prior experience in object-oriented programming, ABAP lists, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, enhancement framework Knowledge of integrating other systems to SAP (IDoc/SFTP/Web services, etc). Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal abilities.
