Senior Account Manager Level 1 - Sandton

To evaluate and present applications for funding that contribute towards the Department objectives and CTFL sector development goals.

This would include performing the financial and/or technical and/or marketing due diligence functions for individual and cluster applications and ensuring risk identification and mitigation.

QualificationÂ

  • Minimum qualification: relevant commercial or technical honours degree

Knowledge SkillsÂ

  • 8-10 years related experience of which 8 years should be in deal assessment as well as closing of transactions
  • Experience in due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical or Financial)
  • Knowledge in assessing all associated issues in a transaction (Legal, risks, etc.)
  • Experience in peer review
  • Experience in interpretation and analysis of financial statements
  • Knowledge of the market environment and technology landscape
  • Knowledge of financing instruments
  • Understand and review models of proposed financial structures
  • Competent in coaching and mentoring of team members.

Financial / Shareholder Returns

  • Ensure financial soundness of all credit submissions.
  • Transactions aligned to the R-CTFL Master plan 2030

Internal / Operational Processes

  • Evaluate applications for finance (financial, technical and marketing disciplines)
  • Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and orginisation for the specific deal.
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Deal optimization - ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Department and will contribute to meeting industry development goals
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies or action plans to drive the Department’s strategic objectives.
  • Account management function up to first draw
  • Prepare well written and motivated reports for presentation to the relevant Panel and other Panel as required.
  • Conduct peer reviews on all due diligence disciplines.
  • Training, mentoring and coaching of Account Managers
  • Provide advice to Business Analysts and Dealmakers in the handling of enquiries and applications

Customer Focus Stakeholder Management

  • To effectively interact with different SBUs and departments in order to fulfil the process requirements related to any specific deal / transaction.
  • Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence.

Learning, Leadership People Growth

  • Provide team leadership in transactions during due diligence
  • Manage own development to enhance own competencies
  • Participate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross functional
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members
