Senior Accountant - - South Africa

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting
Completed Articles is highly advantageous
Proficiency in Pastel Evolution
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

Responsibilities: As the Senior Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Managing monthly processing up to the trial balance
Assessing and approving purchase orders, order entries, and shipping costs
Analyzing expenses and overseeing inventory and fixed asset management
Generating and presenting detailed financial reports
Establishing, implementing, and supervising efficient financial systems, procedures, and oversight
Analyzing financial data and offering insights to key stakeholders for decision-making
Compiling and submitting documentation for approval to SARS
Evaluating and interpreting project data
Providing initial approval for new beneficiaries and payments
Updating and managing project data on the costing master database
Reporting project performance to key stakeholders
Reviewing monthly management accounts prepared by management accountants
Developing financial forecasts and cash flow projections
Planning and assembling documents for BBBEE audits
Supporting auditors with annual financial audit requirements and information
Completing various tasks as directed by the Financial and Commercial Manager
Handling job costing and preparing quotations for the group
