A direct Marketing company selling high quality household goods is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, reporting to the CFO to join their growing organization. The succesful applicant will have knowledge of auditing principles, applicanble laws, cash flow management, and Inventory accounting experience. Internal policies, procedures and processes Preparation of Financial Reports Preparation of Operational Reports Consolidation of Annual Budget Preparation and submission of Statutory Returns Interact with Chief Financial Officer, Financial Manager, Accountant and Credit Control Develop and sustain a good working relationship within the accounting function Offer any assistance to subordinates regarding the finances, systems and procedures of the organization People skills to communicate with management and staff on all levels in the organization HR Administration Cash flow ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met through timely recording of transactions in the company ERP system Assist with the preparation of financial management reports Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Develop and maintain financial data bases Work with internal and external auditors on financial audit Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses Maintain complete, accurate and up to date files of working papers to support the figures recorded in the monthly management and year end accounts including month end A/R & A/P balances, Inventory listings and ageing reports for all sub ledgers. Knowledge accounting degree or equivalent Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles Knowledge of economic principles Knowledge of auditing practices and principles Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations Knowledge and experience of related computer applications Knowledge and experience of the banking system Knowledge and experience to manage cash flow B Com with completed Articles Computer literacy in Sage Accounting Software, MS Word, Excel 5 – 10 years related experience Should you not receive a response within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
