Senior Accounts Clerk - - South Africa

Purpose
To oversee the overall financial and payroll accounting and ensure financial and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee financial accounts by ensuring accurate debtors, creditors and general ledger
Oversee the management reporting process
Oversee the compilation of Annual Financial statements
Act as liaison with external auditors
Responsible for payroll input (financial) and accounting

WCA
Tax and other statutory compliance i.e. Income Tax, VAT, WCA

Qualifications
Diploma in Accounting or NQF equivalent

Experience

10 to 15 years experience in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets of which 5 plus years in a supervisory role.
Experience to handle a range of routine financial activities, such as payroll, billing, and support to accounting clerks and administrators.
Experience to handle large volumes of routine financial transactions in payroll and to generate/handle the documents associated with these transactions.
Experience in the preparation of documents for all Sars submissions and declarations, Pension fund documents, submissions and declarations.
Financial reporting to trial balance level.
