Job Title: Senior Automation Tester - JHB_ Remote- 12 month contract renewable
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Automation Tester to join our team on a 12-month renewable contract basis. This position is remote and based in Gauteng, Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be working full-time hours in the Banking and Finance industry.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement automation test scripts for software applications
- Execute test cases and analyse results to ensure software quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritisation activities
- Identify, record, and track software defects to resolution
- Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test automation processes
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in automation testing
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB)
- Experience in the Banking and Finance industry
- Advanced skills in programming languages such as Java or Python
Working Conditions:
The role of Senior Automation Tester is a remote position with full-time hours.
