Duties and Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing cost standards for BOM materials and labour.
- Monitoring unit cost variance Implementing cost accounting systems.
- Analysing production costs and recommending changes
- Analysing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization.
- Performing month-end cost accounting close
- Maintaining financial & cost accounting system and ledger
- Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock.
- Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis.
- Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports.
- Perform annual physical inventory.
- Analysing inventory valuations.
- Prepare financial management report.
- Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of standard work processes.
- Maintains and ensures data accuracy in the ERP system through proper item set-up, manufacturing accounting review and issue resolution.
- Training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff.
- Supervision of bookkeeper.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Creditors and Debtors functions, including.
- Processing of invoices.
- Reconciliation of creditors accounts to statements.
- Preparation and payment of creditors.
- Manage intercompany transactions, including.
- Processing of invoices.
Minimum Requirements:- Degree in Cost & Management Accounting
- Minimum 5 years Experience as a cost accountant or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of standard costing and other cost modelling
- Knowledge in SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft
- Office, Word, Excel, PPT
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently
