Reference: E.L002053-AK-1 Our client in the Automotive Industry is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team in Coega. Duties and Responsibilities: Developing and implementing cost standards for BOM materials and labour. Monitoring unit cost variance Implementing cost accounting systems. Analysing production costs and recommending changes Analysing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization. Performing month-end cost accounting close Maintaining financial & cost accounting system and ledger Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock. Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis. Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports. Perform annual physical inventory. Analysing inventory valuations. Prepare financial management report. Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of standard work processes. Maintains and ensures data accuracy in the ERP system through proper item set-up, manufacturing accounting review and issue resolution. Training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff. Supervision of bookkeeper. Perform other duties as assigned. Creditors and Debtors functions, including. Processing of invoices. Reconciliation of creditors accounts to statements. Preparation and payment of creditors. Manage intercompany transactions, including. Processing of invoices. Minimum Requirements: Degree in Cost & Management Accounting Minimum 5 years' Experience as a cost accountant or in a similar position. Deep knowledge of standard costing and other cost modelling Knowledge in SAP Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PPT Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong critical thinking skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to work independently.
