My client has an opportunity for a Senior Bridge Design Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of complex bridge projects, ensuring they meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Design of bridges and associated road structural elements. Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering), Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration (non-negotiable). Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage. 8 years plus experience in Bridge Design. Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit. Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities. Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage. Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage. Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage. Market Related.
