My client has an opportunity for a Bridge Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of engineers and technicians in the design, inspection, and maintenance of bridge structures. Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and provide guidance and support. Perform detailed engineering analysis and design calculations for bridge structures. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications. Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering), Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration (non-negotiable). Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage. 12 years plus experience in Bridge Design. Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit. Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities. Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage. Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage. Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage. Market Related.
