Prepare multi modal estimates for both imports and exports timeously to comply with agreed timelines stipulated by client's requirements and company's SOP. Drive sales by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sale opportunities. Ability to negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines co-loaders, overseas agents and transporters as well as provide feedback on rates submitted as well as any service-related failures. Build value-based client relationships Ensuring estimates are accurate and competitive Proactive communication with not only clients but all inter-branch queries and requests Identify and quantify all cost factors Evaluate profitability per estimate Work closely with the internal team members and external Sales and Service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction Vendor service providers Analyse Estimate Reports – failure vs successes / trade lane review / mutual office benefits and leads Solutions driven (LCL vs FCL; Breakbulk vs RORO vs flat rack; Routings etc.) A University degree with exposure to finance/accounting/Supply Chain/Logistics Management Alternatively: Matric (Grade 12) Advanced understanding and skills in Microsoft Excel Incoterms Certificate Geographical knowledge General knowledge on Shipping terms and abbreviations Cargowise (an advantage) IT literate / Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software
