For more information, please review the following link: Justice/Criminal/NRSO The Department of Anthropology and Development Studies at UJ hosts two subjects, namely Anthropology and Development Studies. We offer various degrees and courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in these subjects. Our undergraduate classes in Development Studies are large, ranging from around 700 students in first year, 500 in second year and 300 in third year. We offer our courses in blended approach, i.e. both in class and online for the same cohort of students. Our young dynamic colleagues has a range of research expertise in Development Studies; from goverance, human rights and social justice, to children, youth and disabilities, to the environment, climate change, water and food security, to the political economy of development. Responsibilities: Teach Development Studies at the undergraduate and Honours levels in a blended (face-to-face and online) teaching and learning context. Supervise postgraduate students at Honours, MA and PhD levels. Engage in research, and produced peer-reviewed, accredited publications. Participate in departmental administrative duties, and in Development Studies strategic planning. Engage in activities and events in the faculty and university, and/or academic association(s). Involve yourself in community engagement.
