Senior Financial Controller role available with a large and well-established services company in Johannesburg South. This exciting role is perfect for a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) as you will play a key role in overseeing and managing financial controls, reporting, and strategic financial initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Financial Controller will take full responsibility for the General Finance Department Duties will include; Conduct analytical reviews of financial information Perform internal audits and draft audit reports as needed Evaluate and recommend new or enhanced financial controls where necessary Ensure interdepartmental cohesion and operational efficiency Review and summarize monthly balance sheet accounts and reconciliations prepared by divisional accountants Prepare and report on monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the corporate division Maintain and manage the asset registers for the corporate division, including asset capitalization and disposal proposals Review and follow up on the status of the group's asset registers Assist in preparing for the annual audit and managing the annual BEE audit Prepare and report on monthly BEE efforts Prepare and report on the monthly finance report Process monthly recurring journals and authorized ad-hoc journals for the group Assist cashbook and creditors departments in meeting deadlines SOFTSKILLS/ADDITIONAL INFO: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Proactive and results-oriented approach Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification 1 - 3 years post-article experience Strong proficiency in Excel is essential Experience at a group level will be an advantage, but not essential. Experience in a retail or services environment preferred R55 000 – R70 000 p/m CTC neg based on experience
