As the Operations Planner / Scheduler of Reinke Holdings you will be required to plan all loads of the clients and communicate with clients and drivers to ensure the loads load and offload successfully. PLANNING Speak to clients to book loads. Capture load details, dates and order numbers on forward planning. Send truck details and give updates on the status of the loads to clients. Analyse the most effective and profitable route, for all KPI's to be met. Utilize all vehicles to ensure customer requirements are being met. CONTROL TRUCK AND DRIVER MOVEMENT Assign trucks to each route, ensure drivers know their routes, keep track of vehicle route and send clear instructions to drivers. Monitor trucks to ensure load is loaded and offloaded successfully. Monitor C-track the whole time. Organise driver leave and off weekends. CLIENT SERVICE Communicate with clients to ensure all their requirements are met. Represent the Company in a positive way by producing the core Values of the Company to external parties. Co-ordinate transport activities, settling customer complaints related to product deliveries. MAINTENANCE Ensure routine maintenance happens on fleet (truck service, unit service, COF and wheel alignment). Inspects truck, make sure equipment is correct. Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) – ensure trailer discs are always in order and renewed in time. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES Capture daily loads on Datatim and Excel. Resolve any queries related to loads, POD's and rates. Ensure all purchase orders for the clinets loads are captured daily. Receive all POD's to verify if all load info is all in order and to make sure no shortages have been delivered. Submit driver shifts daily. DISCIPLINARY PROCESSES Together with HR give counselling and warnings when needed to drivers. Give incidents through to HR. Act as complainant in disciplinary hearing. Tertiary Qualification in Logistics Fully Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes Knowledge of Power BI Ability to act on spot when things don't go as plan Knowledge of the transport environment Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role Knowledge of supply chain Attention to detail Exceptional people skills Clear communication to all parties Teamwork Ability to work independently Customer orientated Patience Professional Must be able to stay calm in crisis situations Can communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team Market Related Apply Now
