We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Specialist to expand our support base and develop new fundraising initiatives for the NPO. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and mission-driven individual with the ability to develop and effectively deliver on a long term fund raising strategy and the ability to forge lasting relationships with donors.

Key Competencies:

Fundraising Acumen:
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful fundraising strategies.
- Experience in identifying potential donors, cultivating relationships, and soliciting donations, legacy grants, and sponsorships.
- Strong understanding of the philanthropic climate in South Africa, with existing networks and connections.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to understand and successfully navigate the Corporate Social Investment space in South Africa and abroad.
- Ability to create long-term fundraising plans and adapt strategies to changing circumstances.
- Skilled in setting realistic goals and developing actionable plans to meet and exceed those targets.
Communication Skills:
- Proven written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient in crafting grant proposals, donor correspondence, and public presentations that effectively convey the Centre’s mission and needs.
Relationship Building:
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and build enduring partnerships.
- A personable demeanor that instills trust and fosters donor loyalty.
Organizational Abilities:
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines effectively.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze donor data to inform fundraising strategies and decisions.
- Competence in utilizing CRM and management tools to track engagements and contributions.
