A great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our global mining client based in KZN. Develop maintenance budgets, monitoring and controlling maintenance costs to find opportunities for improvement. Provide technical support for repair methods for installed equipment and rotatable - expert in diagnosing faults and repairing equipment. Support craftsman performing difficult or major maintenance work and responding to critical equipment faults. Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns (ie. resource for Maintenance Supervisors). Inspecting critical jobs to verify the work done was performed correctly. Provide skills-based training to craftsman on specific equipment in the plant and general. Act as a relief for other leaders in Maintenance organization. Perform engineering design calculations as needed. Support the Rotables team by defining their scopes and definition and development of repair procedures. Identify improvement opportunities with maintenance teams and drive these projects to completion with R&I and projects. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Grade 12/ Standard 10/ N3 with Maths and Science GCC Mines (Mechanical or Electrical) (in process or completed) Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
