Reference: DUR000050-GH-1 Progressive multidisciplinary engineering consultancy has a vacancy for a Professional Quantity Surveyor within their Bridges and Buildings Division. Must have at least 8 years of consulting quantity surveying and project management experience and be registered with the SACQSP as a Quantity Surveyor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Registered with the SACQSP as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor Minimum of 8 years' consulting quantity surveying and project management experience BSc/BTech Quantity Surveying Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership ability Innovative thinking ability Advanced Microsoft Office Skills Experience on Wings DUTIES: Undertaking the tender evaluation process. Preparation of the Signing of contract documents. Must be familiar with the Standard form of contracts used in construction. Preparation of Bills of quantities using WINQS or QS Plus Program. Preparation of Re-measurement Programmes and co- ordination of the resources thereof Preparation of monthly payment certificates. Attending site meetings. Attending client meetings. Preparation and presentation of cost reports. Pricing site instructions. Project re-measurements and preparation of final accounts including negotiation and close out Preparation of contract documentation. Conducting building audit reports. Preparing contract documentation. Assisting with tender adjudication. Assisting with the preparation of tender adjudication reports. Chairing site and technical meetings. Co-ordination of sub-contractors' meetings with the principal building contractors. Preparation of tender documents in accordance with respective procurement policies. Advise on the type of contract to use, preparation of tender documents in terms of the standard forms of contract. Experience in Government projects would be advantageous. Must be willing to travel and have own vehicle. REMUNERATION: R40,000 - R55,000.00 Market-related and dependent on qualifications and experience R 50000 - R 65000 - Monthly
