Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Responsibility: To successfully plan, coordinate, schedule and monitor the production & transfer orders in such a manner to deliver customer orders on time, in full, within targeted inventory policies while cost effectiveness is maintained. Objectives: To ensure the availability of products to deliver customer orders on time and in full, and within the targeted inventory policies To source from quality assured suppliers delivering the freshest products at the best possible price by leveraging our scale to procure only what is required at the best price To reduce waste, rework and handling of products or activities that could deliver efficiencies and/or minimise cost within the supply chain To track, measure, analyse and report on key performance indicators for sales & operational planning Strategies: To review and maintain the master and transactional data on company system/'s that is essential to the production and transfer planning function To track, measure, analyse and report on key performance indicators for sales & operational planning To participate and provide supply input into the monthly forecasting & demand management review meetings To collate, prepare and present the 12-months projected forward looking production plan for sales & operations planning To collate, prepare, present and submit the agreed monthly production plan to the plant To review, prepare and submit the weekly production schedule to the plant and monitor the adherence to schedule for reporting and decision making To maintain oversight of the available capacity in the production plant. To monitor the weekly and monthly capacity utilisation and report on bottlenecks and under utilisation for sales & operations planning To collate, prepare and submit the weekly transfer orders and review with internal stakeholders for adjustments to be made based on load optimisation, transport schedules, availability of products and incoming schedules. To manage and prioritise the lines per order, and order schedule daily based on exception management To maintain oversight of load optimisation and transport schedules. To monitor and report on bottlenecks and under utilisation of loads/schedules for sales & operations planning To always utilise current systems and processes for performing all strategies/tasks and to report/identify any gaps in current systems and processes for improvement Requirements: Minimum 3-Years experience in a production planning role (preferably FMCG) Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related will be an advantage Proficient in Microsoft with advance Excel Proficient in supply management software and enterprise resource planning systems (preferably Netstock & Microsoft Dynamics) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decisions Problem solver, able to analyse a situation and come up with a sensible solution by using data/information Organised and detail orientated
