Established in 2001, this company is committed to providing outstanding service in Global Logistics and Supply Chain. This Financial Manager will manage all financial activities including the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting for Group Companies. Duties: Support the GFM to execute the finance strategy ensuring operational alignment with established plans and policies. Manage and support their teams, ensuring that they remain consistent with the business's overall strategy. Mentor key personnel in their business area, ensuring constant professional growth, and assisting them in the execution of their duties where necessary. Manage resource capacity and cross-skill growth opportunities. Develop and grow people, focusing on the team's core strengths and skills. Build and maintain a healthy talent pool for this business unit. Ensure participative leadership and strong communication within the team. Collaboration with all business areas. Coaching and peer-to-peer learning. Maintain data and information relevant to services and operations for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence service-specific decision-making. Proficiency in financial analysis, being able to identify opportunities and the development of financially viable long-term service and operation plans (GP on client level). Monitor weekly financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing risk. Continuous monitoring of client and creditor accounts and weekly risk analysis. Renewal of policies with Debtor Insurer. Handle and manage credit applications with Suppliers. Manage creditors process to completion for month ends. Understand and comply with IFRS for SMEs. Understand and comply with credit insurance and financing agreements. Contribute to annual audit process for the group (pre-yearly audit meetings, coordination of Finance managers). Manage external stakeholder relationships (Tax Advisors, Statutory advisors, auditors) within defined parameters. Job Experience & Skills Required: Relevant tertiary education (BCom Honours). Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles (Advantageous). 3-5 years post-article experience. Previous logistics industry experience will be essential.
