Company operates a global network of port and warehouse facilities, positioned in the strategic locations that the commodities handled require. Services include: -Handling -Storage -Break-bulk and containerised vessel transportation -Exchange and physical warehousing -Customs clearing -Overland transport (road, rail, multi-modal) -Material cleaning, reconditioning, cutting, and packing. Moving all general cargo, containerized, bagged, palletized, bonded, hazardous, and non , we specialize in handling, Storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, copper, lithium, sulphur, and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, . Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems in line with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. 2. Lead and coordinate SHEQ initiatives, programs, and training activities to promote a culture of safety, health, environmental stewardship, and quality excellence. 3. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective/preventive measures. 4. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address SHEQ-related issues, resolve non-conformities, and drive performance improvement. 5. Monitor and analyse SHEQ performance metrics, trends, and incidents to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly. 6. Keep abreast of relevant legislative changes, industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure compliance and enhance SHEQ practices. 7. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and relevant authorities on SHEQ matters. 8. Provide guidance, support, and training to staff at all levels to promote a strong SHEQ culture and ensure competency in relevant procedures and practices. 9. Represent the company in meetings, forums, and industry associations related to SHEQ management. 1. Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 2. Professional certification in SHEQ management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, etc.). 3. Minimum of [X] years of experience in SHEQ management, preferably within [industry/sector] or similar industries in South Africa and Africa. 4. In-depth knowledge of SHEQ regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001), and best practices. 5. Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing SHEQ management systems and programs. 6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, analyse data, and develop effective solutions. 7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. 8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 9. Willingness to travel frequently within South Africa and other African countries as required.
