An Agritalent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks a Shift Millwright for its Oil Seeds plant. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  To maintain equipment functioning and efficiency by: o preventing machine failures through preventative and predictive maintenance practices o repairing equipment to a high standard o Minimising equipment/production downtime  Maintaining an environment that conforms to safety, health and environmental standards MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assisting the Plant Engineer in reaching engineering and plant CPI's in terms of machine availability and condition  Repairing electrical, mechanical and instrumentation equipment  Conducting preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation equipment  Adhering to planned maintenance schedules  Adjusting plant equipment to ensure efficiency  Increasing plant quality and efficiency  Performing effective fault finding and restoration on equipment  Assisting management with the implementation of standards and systems REPORTING The Shift Millwright reports to the plant engineer REPORTING TO POSITION  Artisan assistant  Contractor – should a contractor/s be assigned during projects and annual shutdowns  Housekeeping duties  Adhering to safety rules and regulations as per OHS Act  Adhering to SHERQ standards  Performing stand-in duties for other shift artisans that are on leave  Working overtime if required  Collaborating with various other departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant processes and equipment  Performing root cause analysis on failures and implementing preventative measures  Supporting the production function  A recognised millwright trade test certificate as obtained in South Africa  N3 Engineering qualification as a minimum  Preventative and predictive maintenance experience in a FMCG environment  Optional - basic knowledge on the operation of a crushing and solvent extraction and effluent plant Apply Now
