Reference: PTA009939-NL-1 Shipping Co – Ordinator and Administrator required for well-established Furniture Relocation and Transport Company for a Branch located in Cape Town. Must be a self-motivated individual who operates well under pressure and is willing to get things done. Position: Shipping Co-ordinator and Administrator Industry: Distribution, Warehousing, and Freight Location: Cape town Salary: Market Related Benefits: Provident Fund, Medical Aid (salary sacrifice), Discretionary Performance Bonus. Minimum job requirements: Grade 12. Valid driver's licence (minimum code 8) Good communication skills and the ability to communicate well in English. Excellent telephone communication skill. Accuracy with figure work. PC literacy and accuracy. Key Functions: Handle the liaison with shipment clients. Prepare customs clearance documents on computer. Co-ordinate customs clearance procedures and delivery of the consignments. Calculate quotations for inbound shipments. Assist with outbound enquiries and quotations. Make bookings to view for the sales consultant. Make bookings for collection and delivery of shipments. Make bookings with shipping lines and transporters. Prepare documentation for exports e.g. letters of confirmation to clients, export waybills, typing of marine insurance certificates, Filing, emailing, faxing, photocopying and all other duties relating to sales and inbound and outbound traffic. Comply with Outbound/inbound shipments as per the company procedures.
