A construction Company in Bloemfontein that is only doing industrial Development is looking for an experienced Construction/site Foreman/Manager. It is crutial that you must be experiences in Building Construction.The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on site. This includes overseeing and directing the team of workers, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Foreman should have excellent leadership and organizational skills, as well as a solid understanding of construction techniques and safety regulations. 1. Supervise Construction Activities: - Direct and coordinate the activities of the construction crew, including laborers, operators, and subcontractors. - Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, project specifications, and industry standards. - Monitor progress and quality of work, and address any issues or delays promptly. - Efficiently allocate resources, materials, and manpower to meet project requirements. 2. Team Management: - Train and mentor construction crew members to improve their skills and work performance. - Conduct regular meetings to communicate project objectives, expectations, and progress. - Delegate tasks and responsibilities, and provide clear instructions to ensure efficient workflow. - Resolve conflicts or disputes among team members, and maintain a positive work environment. 3. Project Planning and Coordination: - Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project scope, schedule, and budget. - Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements. - Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. - Monitor and update project schedules, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines. - Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design and safety standards. 4. Quality Control: - Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and specifications. - Identify and address any deficiencies or non-conformance issues promptly. - Implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure project quality and client satisfaction. 5. Safety and Risk Management: - Ensure all workers and subcontractors adhere to safety regulations and company policies. - Conduct regular safety meetings and trainings to promote a safe work environment. - Investigate accidents or incidents, and implement necessary corrective actions. - Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards, and proactively address any safety concerns. of construction techniques, materials, and equipment. - High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education or certification in construction management or related field is preferred. - Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role, with a strong track record of successfully completed projects. - In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment. - Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. - Strong communicator, with the ability to effectively convey instructions, expectations, and feedback to team members, subcontractors, and clients. - Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. - Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. - Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Detail-oriented and quality-focused. - Proficient in using construction management software and tools. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, and traverse uneven terrain for extended periods of time. - Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment. - Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. - Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
