Solutions Architect - Midrand
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Security Architecture Development
Develop and maintain an Enterprise Security Architecture for Liberty and/or a multifunctional shared services organization.
Produce Enterprise Security Architecture Recommendations in alignment with security industry best practices.
Develop and sustain the Information Security Policy Framework.
Engage with Business and Group Technology Areas to understand and guide security requirements.
Present Security Architecture Artefacts at various governance forums.
Technology Monitoring and Alignment
Monitor technologies from other domains outside of InfoSec.
Ensure security technologies align with the Architectural Framework.
Contribute to the development and identification of processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining technology and/or application components.
Capacity and Supplier Management
Ensure adequate capacity on deployed security technologies.
Maintain a working relationship with strategic security suppliers.
Identify and communicate innovative security services within GP&T.
Documentation and Research
Produce papers and writings on research and development work.
Ensure Information Security is embedded within the System Development Lifecycle (Plan, Build, Run).
Strategy Alignment and Continuous Improvement
Align the security architecture strategy with various business scenarios and motivations.
Develop business scenarios to support strategic decisions.
Ensure the security architecture domain strategy integrates with other domains.
Maintain tactical and strategic security goals and metrics.
Manage and sustain the Information Security Management System and Policy Framework.
Manage and maintain a Security Reference Architecture.
Advisory Function
Lead the planning, development, and execution of the organization's Security strategy.
Provide input into services, information, and application architecture domains.
Guide solution development processes that meet business constraints and needs.
Share knowledge through mentoring initiatives and forums.
Architectural Design and Implementation
Analyze enterprise business context, trends, and change requirements.
Ensure the security architecture domain has a documented reference model.
Develop and execute architecture plans.
Create and implement standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines for high-quality development.
Collaborate with operations and development teams to meet customer, legislative, and compliance requirements.
Governance
Contribute to the design of services, products, and solutions lifecycle.
Set governance standards for security architecture.
Ensure adherence to governance in the security architecture domain.
Report monthly on progress.
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain relationships within relevant business units.
Understand requirements, provide input, and elicit feedback.
Work closely with operations and development teams to meet customer and compliance requirements.
Proactive Team Support
Provide ongoing support to cross-functional teams to foster a mature working environment.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required Experience:
7-10 years in IT Management or similar information technology solutions architecture roles.
Proven ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
Proficiency with secure network environments and information technologies.
Expertise with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) or similar software.
Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Salesforce).
Documenting procedures, architecture principles, and patterns.
Evaluating and implementing new technologies.
Collaborating with other teams to improve business processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Security Architecture.
Minimum 7 years of experience in the Security Sphere.
Certifications:
CISSP and/or CSSLP.
TOGAF Certification (advantageous).
