Job Purpose: The SQL/BI Developer (Analytical Dashboards, Paginated Reports, MS SQL Server) is an important part of the Operations team. The SQL/BI Developer executes the business unit strategy and objectives through the implementation of operating tactics such as: Providing detailed and accurate Management Information reports to the Operations team. Providing detailed and accurate Management Information reports to the broader business. Maintain and improve the existing Management Information Systems. Assist with the implementation of special projects. The SQL/BI Developer is responsible for providing the business with accurate management information reports to ensure that informed management decisions can be made. The SQL/BI Developer should monitor all relevant MIS reports for accuracy and timely delivery. An important part of the Job Purpose is for the SQL/BI Developer to provide reports and insights to the collection operations to improve collection performance and is responsible for carrying out all relevant analysis which would aid the Business to take decisions and interact with client and other support functions. The role requires a diverse understanding of collections strategies, in-depth knowledge of collections systems and methodologies, good communications, and interpersonal skills to influence relationships at all levels and maintain both external and internal relationships and as well, to have ability to interrogate the data and support development of collections strategies to meet company's business strategies and client expectations. Leadership Role: Managing Self Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements: Entire Office Suite skills advanced 2 years Proficiency in TSQL. SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS SQL Server experience are essential criteria for application. Power BI Knowledge Intermediate 2 years Strong programming fundamentals Strong data management skills Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation Collections Strategy Experience Good verbal and written skills Good presentation skills Investigative, analytical and impact analysis skills Matric (Required) Additional helpful technical knowledge and skills include: Power Apps and Power Automate Azure Data Fundamentals Good understanding of indexing, querying, and normalization Good understanding of relational database management system Good understanding of database integrity and security Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Business Manager: Management of Quality standards by ensuring that report content is accurate and correct. Develop user define reports to provide on demand data analysis using SSRS and/or PowerBI. Design various and create simple and complex tabular, matrix, drill-down, and drill-through, sub, and chart reports. Design and update informative visual report solutions, including dashboards using SSRS, Power BI and /or other data visualization/dashboard tools. Involved in design and development of packages to move data from production environment to different environments. Involved in scheduling, creating snapshots, creating report subscriptions and data driven subscriptions. Create and maintain proper documentation of all the SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI reports for future reference. Maintaining and updating cubes, including cube partitioning and optimization to increase the performance of cubes in SSAS. Identify gaps in iCred functionality and the required systems enhancements and assist in facilitating and delivery of the enhancement. Work with dynamic T-SQL queries, DDL, DML statements for creating objects, and making updates. Optimise database query performance, create complex functions and stored procedures, analyze queries, and resolve problems. Raise any queries and issues in a timely manner. Scheduling meetings with internal stakeholders when incidents occur to establish cause and put forward an action plan to prevent reoccurrence. Liaise with client relations or clients depending on the campaign as and when the need arises to resolve pending or outstanding queries. People Manager: Provide support and direction to execution of collections strategies across the value chain. Provide relevant support in translating client requirements into process and action. Proactively manage internal and external stakeholder expectations. Schedule training sessions before implementation of new reports. Target setting - assist with campaign budgeting and forecasting processes. Contribution to learning through knowledge sharing. Proactive positive communication both externally and internally. Client Manager: Build and deliver accurate custom reports, client presentations and dashboards to clients and management. Analysis and explanation on deviation of performance metrics. Assist with the production and automation of client presentations: data must be accurately presented in table or graph format. slides are to be narrated with correct spelling grammatical structure. Key Competencies: Understanding and translating the client's requirement into effective MIS reports. Aligning the day-to-day activity with the stakeholder deliverables.
