Requirements
:

Previous food retail store management experience

Previous staff management experience

Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Fully computer literate

Duties will include:

Service and management all the different departments
Ultimately responsible for all NSF and hygiene practices
Maintaining correct GP’s by constantly reloading recipes with correct costs, updating
constantly
Ensuring high quality goods are received for service departments
Ensuring product availability as per top 100 list
Controlling waste
Controlling IDT’s
Ensuring finished products are at the highest possible standards for customers
Ensuring production plans are adhered to
Ensuring stock-takes are taking place
Be open to new recipe ideas and new ranging
Ensure all equipment are maintained and serviced
Ensure OHASA principles are adhered to :
– Fire blankets
- CO2 fire extinguishers
– Powder extinguishers
– All the above to be serviced within time frame
– Security and Safety measures to be in place such as first aid
Training of staff in all aspects of their job descriptions
Various administration duties
Cashing up and banking to be done 100% accurate and manager takes full responsibility
Multiple cash drops per cashier during the day ensuring tills have less money
Finalizing cash up process
Ensuring correct change available at all times
Manager to take action with regards to shorts & overs
Manager to do spot checks on tills during the day and enforcing supervisors to do the same
Ensuring offices are clutter free
Ensuring filing is done daily
Ensuring till points are clean and clutter free
Ensuring tills have enough till rolls and plastic bags
Ensuring pay-outs and pay-ins are controlled with adequate documentation
Daily checks on refund report
GRV and stock administration
Ensure all GRV’s are done daily
Ensure all GRV’s checked for:
- Correct departments
– Correct GP%
– Correct pack size
– Correct discounts applied
– Ensure correct supplier type was used : Drop Ship / DC / Direct / COD
Ensure GRV’s balance back to Receiving book daily
Ensure daily GRV Summary is printed and checked with totals for the day
IDT’s to be done daily and checked for QTY & Department
Ensuring all deliveries are checked
– QTY received to actual invoice
– Pack size vs actual invoice
– Expiry dates
– Ensuring invoices have correct destination store
– All big deliveries must be checked box by box by transferring each box to an empty pallet
– Check damaged stock
– No uplift no delivery
All invoices to be recorded in receiving book
Claims must accompany invoices
Claims must reflect driver signature and registration number (claims can be rejected on this basis)
Storeroom must be packed by department
Ensure all damages are sorted by supplier
Ensure all rubbish is searched and inspected before discarding
When receiving item that are weighed, ensure scale is set to zero. If in crates, take crate subtract from weight on invoice. Keep in mind packaging of product when items are weighed
Floor management
Ensure shelves are packed according to spec
Ensure PI label exercise takes place daily by shelve aisle
Ensure loose stock gets replenish from stock room
Ensure high volumes of an item are recorded and action taken
Ensure front facing are done throughout the whole day
Ensure top 100 per sub department is done weekly to determine bad sellers, discontinue if needed
Ensure “close to expire date” stock are identified and dealt with by using companies for a claim to sell at cheaper price. Contact Engage for similar issue regarding DC stock
Ensure merchandisers are not moving PI Labels
Ensure merchandisers are cleaning shelves
Ensure no loose stock / boxes / crates on the floor
