Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawings and Plans:
- Develop detailed drawings and plans for steel structures, including beams, columns, trusses, and frameworks.
- Prepare concrete reinforcement drawings, detailing rebar placement, splicing, bending, and spacing.
- Create drawings for general civil infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, roads, and drainage systems.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with structural engineers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
- Attend project meetings to discuss design progress and address any issues or changes.
- Standards and Compliance:
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in construction technology and building codes.
- Quality Control:
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Perform quality control checks on drawings before submission.
- Documentation and Filing:
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Ensure proper version control and document management practices.
Software Utilization:
- Utilize CAD software (Revit) to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Employ other relevant software tools for modelling, analysis, and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Certification in CAD software is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural drafting, preferably within the steel structures and concrete reinforcement sectors.
- Experience with civil infrastructure projects is a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong understanding of steel structure and concrete reinforcement design principles.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and building codes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
