Switchboard Operator - Johannesburg
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Work within a team of switchboard operators and handle 700 extensions.
- Screen and direct calls to the correct extension numbers or departments.
- Manage international calls.
- Assist internally and in directing queries to the correct persons or departments.
- Field and escalate complaints to the correct persons.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or higher qualification.
- 1 2 years experience in handling a busy switchboard.
- Knowledge of Genysis system.
- PC and Keyboard Literacy.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills willing to assist and go the extra mile.
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
