This role will oversee and coordinate the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term and long-term IT projects to ensure divisional objectives are met. The largest integrated poultry producer in Southern Africa is seeking a vibrant and dynamic Systems Project Manager to join our IT team. This new pivotal role will oversee and coordinate the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term and long-term IT projects to ensure the divisional objectives are met in line with the overall Astral strategic vision. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: The planning and implementation of IT projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget. Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Develop and implement change management strategies and plans. Ensure seamless integration and functionality of new systems with minimal disruption to daily operations. Continues review of financial systems and other support systems to ensure that these are current and incorporate the latest technologies and best practices. Optimise system performance and improve the efficiency of financial processes. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, project management, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) as an IT project manager. Solid technical background in software development and system upgrades. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Excellent communication skills.
