Reference: DBN000260-MC-1 Queensburgh - Our client is seeking a highly innovative, out-the-box thinker to join their team as Technical Illustrator, providing comprehensive technical drawings used for manufacturing purposes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established but still growing and expanding, innovative company. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to create detailed technical drawings for battery systems and solutions. These illustrations will be primarily used for manufacturing purposes and must accurately depict all critical components, including battery cells, casing designs, and connection terminals. Key Responsibilities: Generate comprehensive technical illustrations for battery solutions utilizing AutoCAD and other relevant design software. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed design specifications and schematics. Perform simulations and analyses to validate design performance and reliability. Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Contribute to project planning by providing insights on design feasibility and timelines. Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are both manufacturable and cost-effective. Keep accurate records of design modifications and documentation. Innovative and forward-thinking approach to design. Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities. Capability to work independently and meet set deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Requirements: Matric non-negotiable Tertiary education in engineering/design related field Proficiency in technical drawing and design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc Demonstrated experience in battery design and development highly advantageous Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to create production-ready designs.
