We are seeking a Technical Manager, also known as a Flying Doctor, who will be responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance across various locations. This role involves extensive travel to diagnose complex technical issues, support our service teams, and ensure the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair. Travel to various dealerships and service centers to provide specialized technical assistance and troubleshooting. Diagnose and resolve complex technical faults in vehicles. Provide training and support to local technicians, enhancing their skills in vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques. Develop and implement best practice technical procedures and standards to enhance service quality. Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements. Manage technical documentation, ensuring that all service centers have access to up-to-date and accurate information. Monitor and report on the technical performance of vehicles, identifying trends and recurring issues that require attention. Engage with customers to provide expert advice and reassurance on technical queries. Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and reduce vehicle downtime. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a technical service role within the automotive industry, preferably with managerial responsibilities. Strong diagnostic skills and a deep understanding of automotive technology. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to convey technical information effectively.
