The main function of the Technical Marketing Specialist is to provide support to Crop Advisors through programs, manuals, training, marketing and the plant protection product portfolio as a whole. This position will be responsible for offering plant nutrition support to the Western (Elgin, Grabouw, Vyeboom and Villiersdorp) and Northern Cape (Kakemas, Kanoneiland and Upington) region and well as the South of Namibia (Noordoewer and Aussenkehr). Good relevant crop knowledge Good knowledge in plant nutrition and / or crop protection Good discipline and show skills in effective planning, organizing and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Advanced numerical and analytical skills Must be innovative and able to think "out of the box" Strong leader who can effectively transfer knowledge by training others Results oriented and must be able to lead and motivate team to deliver results The ability to manage and see projects through from start to finish Must be self-maintaining, structured, disciplined and self-driven Must have impeccable integrity Must respect confidentiality and demonstrate exceptional discretionary skills Although a focus crop has been allocated, it is expected that a TMS must be involved in all crops in an allocated area B.Sc. Agric degree in Soil Science
