Reference: JHB000553-Tshid-2 Our client in the Telco sector is seeking a Test Lead on a contract duration of 6 months. Description The Test Lead manages and coordinates the testing activities within a software development project or program. Their primary role is to ensure that the software product meets the highest standards of quality before it is delivered to the client or deployed to production. Responsibilities Define and implement the test strategy and test plan based on project requirements and objectives. Coordinate and manage all testing activities, including system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing. Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the testing team to ensure effective execution of tests. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the right testing environments and tools are set up. Work with the project management team to estimate testing effort and define the testing schedule. Review test plans, test cases and test data prepared by team members and ensure complete test coverage. Track, manage, and communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders. Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance testing quality and efficiency. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a Test Lead or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in managing a team of testers in a dynamic project environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project stakeholders and team members. Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications like ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Manager, Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST), or Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) would be advantageous.
