Reference: JHB001418-hanS-1 Our client in the manufacturing industry is recruiting for a Tool, Jig & Die Maker to attend to production tool maintenance, manufacture new tooling and attend to breakdowns in accordance with the production plan through effective and efficient planning, organizing and controlling the activities of his section/department Responsibilities: Grade 12 Tool, Jog & Die Maker Trade Test 10 years' experience in an Engineering machining role Knowledge and experience with Toolroom equipment Knowledge and understanding of Engineering drawings. Working knowledge of Toolroom production machine tools and production manufacturing methods Roles and Responsibilities: Manufacture components using the CNC Machine Centre and the CNC Lathe Have knowledge of Centre Lathe, Milling Machines, Band Saw, Power Saw, Surface grinder, Pedestal and Radial Arm Drilling machines. Responsible for manufacturing tooling components, parts to specified drawings and samples Can use toolroom-measuring equipment. Machine to tight tolerances. Block up steel to specific sizes. Screw cut. Can work within a tool room team environment read engineering drawings Work shifts as requested by Toolroom management to complement projects to meet operational objectives and requirements.
