Ref: TMO 416560 - Plant Manager / Factory Manager – Meat Processing Employer Description Our Client is a Meat Processing Company Job Description Our Food Manufacturing client has an opportunity for a skilled senior individual to join their team in the capacity of a Plant Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following: Develop, design, and implement programs to build efficiencies, create capacities, and reduce costs and wastage Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices Develop, design, lead the management team, emphasizing accountability and people effectiveness Lead manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams towards achieving strategic targets Plan structures, implement best practice scheduling, and optimize plant available hours. Lead and co-ordinate Procurement team to drive efficiency, cost savings and compliance Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to food safety, health & safety, quality control Manage operational budgets and forecasts Other related duties Qualifications BSc Food Science/Operations Management or related Skills Minimum 10 years' experience in the Food Manufacturing environment, 5 of which should be at Senior Managerial Level Meat Processing Experience Essential Indepth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices Knowledge of organizational effectiveness Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Standards Essential Salary / Package R1m Negotiable depending on Experience Benefits Performance Bonus
