Turner Machinist - Cape Town City Centre
Requirements:
- Approved and recognized Trade test qualification (Turner Machinist)
- Minimum of 5 plus years relevant working experience within the engineering or metal industry
- Strength to handle materials and tools (physically fit)
- Good hand eye co-ordination
- Hands on practical approach to the job
- Ability to work under challenging conditions
- Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
- Must be prepared to work overtime when required
- Own transport
- No criminal record
- Hard working and self-motivated
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Logical and detail orientated
- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish job, material and equipment requirements.
- Operate machines to produce parts but turning, boring, milling
- Slotting or drilling metal components
- Ensuring that the quality of work is up to the required standards
- Check accuracy and quality of finished parts
