Turner Machinist - Cape Town City Centre
Well-established general engineering firm seeks a trade tested Turner/Machinist to join their team at their workshop in MONTAGUE GARDENS.
For the position you would be required to have:
- Trade tested Turner – Machinist
- Around 5 years relevant working experience in the engineering or metal industry
- Ability to operate lathes and milling machines to high tolerances
- Physically fit
- Prepared to work overtime when required
- Own transport
Responsibilities would include you to:
- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish job, material and equipment requirements
- Operate machines to produce parts through turning, boring, milling
- Slotting or drilling metal components
- Ensuring that the quality of work is up to the required standards
- Check accuracy and quality of finished parts
- Ensure high tolerances are maintained
