This role demands a dedicated and skilled professional with substantial experience in the food retail or FMCG sectors. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong track record of managing warehouse functions and improving business processes. Warehouse Management: Efficiently handle all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring smooth daily functions and adherence to company standards. Operational Expertise: Implement best practices to streamline processes and boost operational efficiency. Process Mapping: Utilize experience in business process mapping to enhance warehouse workflows and overall performance. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 5 to 7 warehouse staff, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment. Safety Compliance: Ensure the warehouse meets all safety and OHASA regulations, maintaining a safe working environment. Strategic and Hands-On: Balance hands-on management with strategic planning to drive warehouse success. Financial Acumen: Oversee profitability and expense management, understanding the financial impact of warehouse operations. Technology Proficiency: Leverage your expertise in warehouse management systems to enhance operational efficiency. Experience: 6 to 10 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within the Retail or FMCG industry, ideally with a Blue Chip company. Education: Matric is required; a Supply Chain qualification is advantageous. Location: Must reside near Isipingo, Durban. Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent leadership abilities, and a solid work ethic. Tech-savvy with a good understanding of warehouse management systems.
