Warehouse Supervisor - Johannesburg
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of food and beverage products, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of products
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders and returns
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and control
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety and security procedures
- Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts
- Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics (e.g., productivity, accuracy, and throughput)
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage relationships with transport providers and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role, preferably in the food and beverage industry
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, warehouse management systems)
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000)
- Valid forklift operator certification (advantageous)
