Workshop Manager - Johannesburg
Minimum Requirement
- Tertiary Education in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
- Min of 7-10 years in a pressure part manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of material specifications in a pressure part environment.
- Knowledge of welding.
- Knowledge of inspection processes.
- Experience in manufacturing/fabrication processes and procedures of fabricated pressure parts.
- Experience in welding, cutting, machining, rigging processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of machinery, tube benders, fins, headers and panels.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings associated with the manufacture of fabricated pressure parts.
- Experience in budget control and project management.
- Plan and oversee all workshop activities.
- Provide daily progress feedback to the Contract Coordinator.
- Monthly management meeting feedback and report.
- Maintaining and holding safety targets.
- Resource management and optimisation; managing people and resources.
- Workshop operational costs.
- Material and consumable management.
- Stores management.
- Safety management and support.
