Assistant Maintenance Manager - Bellville
Our client based in Bellville industrial is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their team Requirements Qualified Electrician or Millwright 5 Years experience as artisan in manufacturing environment Valid South African drivers’ licence (Code 8) Own reliable transport to and from work Strong knowledge and insight in mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics and PLCs. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues. Good understanding of safety regulations and procedures. Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English. Computer literate Responsibilities Oversee the maintenance department and manage a team of maintenance artisans and assistants. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment are done to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Ensure maintenance schedules are completed and signed off by required departments. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot machinery issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions promptly. Coordinate with production to prioritize maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules. Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance and repair purposes. Maintained maintenance stores and workshops. Do regular tool checks and tool inspections. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Available for weekend and standby duties every third week. Stand in for the maintenance manager in his absence.
