Responsible for food safety and quality. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Full responsibility for all labour related issues including, ensuring that all positions are managed at all times. Dealing with all disciplinary matters appropriately and according to the company’s disciplinary code. Full control of production processes and responsibility for maintaining production standards in terms of quality, process flows, volumes and food hygiene. Continued interaction and communication with all senior management. Maintaining and implementing 20 keys principles, including Health & Safety of the department. Adhering to Astral’s ethics policy. Completing daily targets set by the managers and as per production plan. Managing the production line and reporting any breakdowns to the maintenance team. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: A Matric Certificate / Equivalent. Relevant diploma would be advantageous. 2 – 3 years’ experience in a production environment. Must be prepared to work shifts. Good supervisory and interpersonal skills. Must be computer literate. Must be able to work independently and cope well under pressure. Manage staff professionally and lead by example.
